Who is Aqua Marena?

i'm a low-energy streamer with an affiliation for promoting comfy vibes. i stream a variety of games, but expect my content to typically include: vtuber collabs, slice of life games, fantasy games, sim games, and sometimes horror and fps games! (asmr/book reading streams coming soon) i have a varying schedule but tend to start streams anywhere between 02:00pm-07:00pm cst, and i try to stream four to five times a week!

elara fen was never meant to fit anywhere, a puzzle piece that's edges never quite matched the rest.abandoned and alone, she grew up on the outskirts of the coastal city of caern'alarion. too fey-touched for humans and too mortal for elves, she never felt like she belonged to either half of her lineage; because her lineage was a lie, a well-crafted disguse to keep her safe. her voice - haunting and honeyed - was her only inheritance from her mother. a gift from her siren bloodline and a curse she learned to wield like a weapon.elara stumbled into piracy not through ambition, but through a cruel trick of fate that would influence her future. after becoming an orphan, elara was picked off the streets by an old sea dog of a pirate named grellan voke. grellan and the rest of the crew on the azure maiden took her in, gave her a home when the world had all but abandoned her. she swabbed decks, fetched rum and refilled their tankards, and sang songs to soothe the crew on their long, lonely voyages. from the moment grell put a tricorn hat on her head, she was no longer elara fen. instead, she was renamed aqua marena - a reminder that she serves the ocean, and that the ocean is her home.years later, grellan died. the crew, mourning their captain, turned to aqua. who they thought was the most suited choice to lead them.
how wrong they were.aqua failed in her duities as a pirate captain. she often steered them in the wrong direction, lost their trinkets and treasures, and ran the maiden aground more times than they could count. aqua, in her haste to try and prove herself worthy of the mantle passed to her, began listening to whispers trickling into her ear from unknown sources. their voice sweet as honey, they told her that they could help her be better, help her save her crew, help her make grellan proud. all she needed was to give them something of equal value - something that held as much love as she did for her crew.where does love come from?aqua gave more of herself than she bargined for, giving her heart to a man that was only known as "nyfisin" - if you can even call him a man. but, once she gave him her heart, her compass pointed the ship in the right direction, their chests were overflowing with coin. she was fearless, ruthless, willing to do whatever it took to make sure her crew survived whatever man or monster threw at them. the crew didn't question it, or the strange door that suddenly appeared with ominous green runes carved into the frame.

port

port is presumably the oldest of five leviathan hatchlings found by captain aqua and the crew of the azure maiden. it's unknown how long port has to protect his younger siblings, but his withdrawn and defensive personality shows that he's been protecting the brood of leviathan hatchlings primarily by himself for quite some time.

starboard

starboard presumably hatched around the same time as port, or very close after - which prompted the crew to refer to him and port as "the twins". starboard is the mirror opposite of port, loud and full of energy - he's often seen swimming alongside the boat, playfully chasing the sea life or splashing the crew as they do their chores.

crow's nest

crow prefers the quiet company of nyfisin and has dubbed his laboratory as her home - it's also obvious that she's claimed nyfisin as her favorite person amongst the crew (which unfortunately for crow, nyfisin doesn't reciprocate that favoritism). she's observant, sharply intelligent, and surprisingly gentle - often aiding nyfisin and his familiar with his experiments. you can almost always see crow tucked away at nyf's side while the others roughhouse with one another or are off causing mischief.

anchor

stubborn and slow moving, anchor is the largest of the leviathan siblings - although he's the second youngest from the clutch. he's not the fastest swimmer, but he's strong and can hold his ground when it matters. like his name suggests, he tends to assist with anchoring the ship whenever the maiden is docked - providing protection and stability.

bow

bow is the youngest and the last to hatch from the clutch of siblings - having hatched after aqua and the crew found the other five. the most affectionate of the leviathan siblings, she revels in the extra attention the crew members give her - as they often feed her scraps and pay more attention to her than the rest of her siblings. instead of taking to the depths of the ocean like the rest of her siblings, she has made a simple mop bucket on deck her home.
